 New logo la escalera

01

overview

La Escalera bar is a well-established Spanish bar in Marbella, Spain; the owners were seeking to revamp its brand identity; The bar's previous branding did not adequately reflect its unique theme, a nature-inspired and eco-friendly ambiance with a unique element added to the mix, ladders. They wanted to create a peaceful, safe space for all where people can go an enjoy a conversation with family and friends and be surrounded by nature elements.

02

problem & objectives

The existing logo and visual identity failed to capture the essence of the bar's unique theme, resulting in inconsistency and a missed opportunity to attract new clientele.

One of the key challenges while designing La Escalera Bar logo was striking the right balance between creativity and simplicity, ensuring that the logo effectively communicates the brand's essence in a visually appealing and memorable way.

enhance the brand identity

Develop a new logo and visual identity that aligns with the bar's unique theme of ladders and nature.

Boost FOOT TRAFFIC AND BRAND LOVE

A new logo redesign can significantly boost foot traffic by attracting more attention and creating a fresh, appealing image for the business.

maintain brand RECOGNITION

Create a brand identity that felt modern and memorable but also ensure that existing customers can still identify with the rebranded bar.

03

brand strategy

To gain a deep understanding of the bar's vision, target audience, and industry trends, I conducted some research to come up with a brand strategy and a plan to help them positioning themselves in the industry. This research phase also involved analyzing local competitor logos to ensure distinctiveness in the design.

research, interviews, and discovery sessions

I conducted interviews and gathered feedback from potential costumers. I set online discovery sessions and analyzed industry trends, and local competitor logos to ensure distinctiveness in the design.

concept development and implementation

I collaborated with the client to narrow down the theme, iterated on the logomark and created mood boards and style concepts that highlighted the use of natural elements, earthy colors, and organic textures.

final interviews and brand feedback

I conducted user testing and gathered feedback from loyal customers. I made all the necessary adjustments based on feedback to enhance overall appeal and ensure the new visual identity resonates with their values.

04

new visual identity

I presented some concepts to the client, we engaged in a couple of collaborative feedback sessions that provided great insights about their vision for “La Escalera” bar. Through these feedback loops, I refined the design based on their input, ensuring the final logo resonated with their truly brand identity.

05

color palette

The choice of a color palette inspired by nature's hues and organic materials serves as a powerful visual statement. By incorporating fresh greens, earthy tones, and rustic browns, I evoke the calming and grounding qualities of the natural world and also align the brand with values of sustainability and eco-consciousness.

The use of nature-inspired colors in the rebrand not only fosters a warm and welcoming atmosphere but also conveys authenticity, and a sense of trust and connection with the clients.

type expression and visual explorations

The typeface I picked for the brand redesign is a key part of the visual identity. It looks modern and clean, which matches the contemporary and sophisticated new visual ID. It's easy to read and can be used in different situations, keeping the brand looking professional and consistent.

I paid close attention to typographic detail, considering factors such as legibility, adaptability, and versatility for different mediums, including signage, menus, digital platforms, and promotional materials.
